iPhone 13 – The New Apple Avatar and All that You Need to Know

Apple is perhaps one of those very few manufacturers of electronic devices that would never lose to time. In other words, the very mission and vision of this giant is to stay ahead of time. In it’s endeavour to achieve that feat, their R&D department is always at the top of their toes, developing devices that meet the present needs of their loyal customers, with an eye towards the future. This has always been evident by the periodic release of various models of iPhones, ever since the start of their endeavour in mid 70s. The late Steve Jobs, the then CEO of Apple, envisioned the 1st Generation iPhone in 2005, upon Apple’s very own Newton that saw the daylight in 1990 and that has been the start of their journey.

The company has travelled a long distance since then, and today, they are on the verge of unveiling the newest avatar of iPhone – iPhone 13 and this has as usual, already sent ripples around the world. Thus, it is high time we take a dig at the latest version – iPhone 13, which is likely to be released at the end of September this year.

How Will the iPhone 13 Be Different from 12?

Though nothing has come out of the horse’s mouth of Apple as yet, based on the rumours, the iPhone 13 is going to differ from 12 in terms of model, price, display and not to mention the key features.

Version 13 is expected to be of 4 models – iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max. However, one school of thought is of the opinion that given the poor sales of iPhone 12 Mini, Apple is likely to scrap its plans to launch iPhone 13 Mini.

As per as the price is concerned, iPhone 13 is going to be an iterative upgrade of iPhone 12. Here a bird’s eye view of the various features of iPhone 13 and a comparative study between version 12 and 13.

The Price

As per as the price is concerned, the price of version 13 will be of the version 12 range, while a source on the condition of anonymity has stated that it’s going to be the same as version 12. In Australia, iPhone 12 Mini starts at $1,199, iPhone 12 at $1,349, iPhone 12 Pro at $1,699, iPhone 12 Pro Max at $1,849. So the price of version 13 is either going to be in this range or may increase a bit.

The Design

The design of iPhone 13 is expected to see a shift from 12. The design of the rear camera is likely to change and will have an advanced version of diagonal lens arrangement of the same model but with a slightly smaller notch.

The Shade

Now this is one area that is likely to see new colours and shades being introduced by Apple. Apart from the known shades like black, white and purple, two new shades – orange and pink are likely to be introduced.

The Display

The screen resolution and display are likely to remain the same as the version 12 or earlier versions. However, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max are likely to get 120 Hz display. This means, the images of these versions are likely to be smoother than the previous versions.

The Camera

The camera is expected to enjoy substantial tweaks from the iPhone 12. iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max are likely to have telephoto cameras. This apart, cameras from all the versions are likely to have LiDAR, Thus, they will have sharper depth perception. However, it is not confirmed till date. The latest model is also expected to see substantially improved Video recording software tools, along with a new Portrait mode of recording.

Chipset

The latest versions are expected to be powered by an A15 chipset, though that is likely to give the same power boost as iPhone 12.

The Battery

The battery is going to be larger than the previous version. The battery of iPhone 13 is likely to be of 3,095mAh compared to 2,805mAh of iPhone 12. This means the battery is likely to last longer than the previous ones.

Thus you see, the world as usual waits with a bated breath, as Apple inches towards revealing its newest avatar of iPhone. It’s likely to bring another wave of revolution in communication, as usual.
